This is where we discuss the modeling being done.
Luca and I speant long hours this weekend getting the Dome model working in Active Worlds. We were finally able to get it to render multi-sided but the textures looked like…well, you don’t want to hear/see my descriptive words. He sent me a revised file which I will test tonight in the 3D environment.
I speant a good bit of time yesterday working on a part of the scene with Ray Allen, one of our student team members. He was very helpful. Nonetheless, after we tweaked some of the features we were able to refine a few of the objects.
We finished some major improvements to the base camp models. The first picture is a day scene with textures and models applied to the scene. The second was a night scene. Both were rendered in Blender.
I thought this was really challenging and I know we can do even better.
Today I worked on 2 concept art pieces. I refreshed my sketch of the VR (Virtual Reality) Omni Theatre (located in New Worlds City) and did some detail work on Ray Allen’s “Aztec Temple” (originally not called that). Right now we just call it the “Temple of a Dying People.”
